GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Today is the first day of the "Save the Bees" awareness week. The event of the day is a scavenger hunt. Find the paper bees hidden around the school and trade them in for a treat! Tomorrow's event will be a henna stand in the main foyer. Make sure you come and  check it out ! all donations go towards helping save local pollinators.

DUAL CREDIT PSYCHOLOGY COURSE: Are you interested in getting transferable college credits next year? If yes Psychology 12 is offered as a dual credit course next year with Psychology 130. If this interests you please come to a brief meeting at lunch on Wednesday in the PE classroom or see Ms Koenig!

CAREER CENTRE

OSEF Student Exchange - Application Deadline - May 15th
There is still time to apply for a 2018/2019 exchange to Europe with OSEF. Experience France, Belgium or Spain for 1 month this summer or 11 weeks next year with a reciprocal exchange program. Application submission deadline is approaching quickly. Please see the Career Centre for more information.

CAMOSUN COLLEGE & SAANICH SCHOOL DISTRICT PARTNERSHIP TRAINING OPPORTUNITY: Interested in getting a diploma at Camosun for a Legal Office Assistant , Medical Office Assistant or Office Administration in September and want to have the school district pay for it? See Mr. Rhodes in the career centre ASAP. Applications are due today for this awesome opportunity!

TEAC 105 COURSE - Explorations in Technology -  Registration now open for the Fall TEAC session, the program runs Fridays, 3-6 pm - September through December. This dual-credit course provides current high school students with an introduction to careers in Computer Science, Electronic and Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Check the grad list posted in the counselling area.  If you are NOT on the list, see Ms. Batham in the main office to find out why.If you can’t resolve the issues by May 15th, you MUST complete and submit a Grad Appeal Form and book an appointment with Ms. Hansen by May 15th. Grad Appeal Forms are available from the main office. See Ms. Batham to book your appointment.

UVIC REGISTRATION 101 – Monday , May 14 - Students already registered or thinking about registering with UVic are invited to attend a Registration 101 presentation today after school from 3:10 – 4pm in the Career Centre.
