GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

JR MUSICAL THEATRE presents “ODDBALLS AND OUTCASTS” on Thursday, May 31st at 7pm. Tickets available at the office.

GLOBAL 11 WALK FOR RESCUES: On Sunday May 27th Global 11 students are hosting a walk at Beaver Lake park to raise funds for local animal shelters. All animal owners, lovers and dogs with good manners are welcome! Check out the posters around the school for more details!

DEADLINE TO DROP CLASSES  – June 1st - The deadline to drop a class for this semester, so that it doesn’t appear on your report card or transcript, is FRIDAY June 1st.  Drop forms are in the Career Centre.

Computer Network Electronics Technician Program at Camosun College starting in September...There is one seat available for Septemeber. Interview for the seat will be June 12th.  First qualified will be the first to be invited to the interview.  Successful applicant will be eligible for FREE tuition!!   See Mr. Rhodes IMMEDIATELY if interested

Encounters with Canada is our country’s largest and foremost youth forum! Every week of the school year, 120 to 150 teens from across Canada, aged 14 to 17 years, come to Ottawa. Here they discover their country through each other, learn about Canadian institutions, meet famous and accomplished Canadians, explore exciting career options, develop their civic leadership skills and live an extraordinary bilingual experience. Costs:  Travel to/from Ottawa - FREE Program Activities and Supplies - FREE - 1 week stay at the Terry Fox Canadian Youth Centre in Ottawa $750. Choose your theme:  Arts & Culture – Business & Entrepreneurship – Canada Remembers – Communications & Social Media – Democracy & Youth – Experience Canada – First Responders – Global Affairs – Law & Our Justice System – Medicine & Health – Science & Ecology – Science & Technology – Sports & Fitness – Tech & Food – VIMY: Canada’s Coming of Age. TEAC 105 COURSE - Explorations in Technology -  Registration now open for the Fall TEAC session, the program runs Fridays, 3-6 pm - September through December. This dual-credit course provides current high school students with an introduction to careers in Computer Science, Electronic and Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. MANDATORY GRAD REHEARSAL ON MONDAY AT UVIC! All Grads are to meet at 8:15 in the MPR. All Students will be bussed to UVIC. No students are allowed to drive their vehicles to UVIC.

STUDIO 63 HAIR SALON VISIT FOR GRADS - June 6th
Studio 63 Hairdressing students will be visiting Stelly's on Wednesday, June 6th at lunch!  Come by for a FREE hair up do, braiding or style before Grad, or just come for the fun!

PARENTS:

PARENTS OF 2019 GRADS: After-Grad 2019 fundraiser needs volunteers to take over from current grad committee.  This is a once a month commitment for refundable drop offs on the 4th Saturday of each month.
