GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

GOOGLE GSUITE ACCOUNT FORMS:  There are over 300 students that have not filled out the YELLOW GSuite for Education account forms! Those students that have not filled out these forms will have their google accounts deactivated on Friday. Forms available in the learning commons.

Are you interested in visiting London, Paris, Florence and Rome on Spring Break? If so, please come to a meeting in room 144 at lunch on Thursday or see Ms Liberatore anytime. Those who have already signed up, please come to this important meeting as well.

SOCIAL LEADERSHIP: Students are reminded that the first official class will be Wednesday, Sept 12 at lunch in room 108.  Bring your lunch that day to be on time.  Please contact Mrs Wallace if you are not able to make it to class on Wednesday or if you have not yet received emails from her.

Photo Day: School photos will be taken on Monday September 17th.  Every student in every grade needs a photo taken for school I.D. purposes, even if you do not plan to purchase photos.

STUDENT PARKING: Reminder to all students who are driving cars to school:  all cars must be registered if you are parking in the student parking lot.  Please come to the office to pick up your registration form. 

BREAKFAST CLUB Breakfast club will be starting up on Monday, Sept 24th.
SCHOOL FORMSReminder to please return your school forms and fees to the office if you have not done so.

Fall Sports teams are contiuing to start up this week....Check out the pink schedules posted  around the school! Here's what is happening this week....

Jr.& Sr Boys soccer tryouts continue today after school at Centennial Park.

Jr. & Sr. Girls Volleyball practice after school today and Thursday in the gym

Food Safe Level 1  - Friday, October 19th, 2018 - (Pro-D Day)- 8:30 am to 4:30 pm - at the SHOAL Centre in Sidney - 10030 Resthaven Drive - Cost is $50. Food Safe is useful for anyone working or wishing to work in the food service, food retail, or food processing industries. You will learn how to handle food safely in order to prevent food from being contaminated.

Alert First Aid with CPR "C" & AED - Saturday, October 20th, 2018 - 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the SHOAL Centre in Sidney. Cost is $50.

Retail Training - *FREE* - This certificate program prepares you for first time work experiences in retail & many other work environments. You will be treated as an employee & you will be working alongside a busy team of staff members. This is a full day commitment on Sundays for 4 weeks each month. Train in working a cash register & counting cash, customer service, creating displays and more! Brentwood Bay and Sidney locations.

Central Saanich Terry Fox Community Run - Volunteers Needed
Sunday, September 16-  8:30 am to 11:00 am. Students will be in pairs and would be “extra marshals” helping to mark the route and encouraging runners/walkers/cyclists.

Pumpkin Express Event” Volunteer opportunity October 19, 20, 21 from 4:30-8:30pm. Interested in helping with the preparation for this event (building scarecrows, decorating the forest areas the train runs through, etc.) Scarecrow building work party Saturday, Sept. 22 10am to 3pm. Volunteering during the event with supervision of craft tables, train track crossings, pumpkin carvings, haunted story walks, scavenger hunt in the graveyard and face painting. International Pizza Lunch for all International Students is on Thursday, September 13th in the Dining Room. All International students are asked to attend!

Camp Qwanoes - October 10 & 11 - Cost: $85 which includes bus transportation, 1 night Accommodation, food, and fabulous outdoor activities such as zip-lining and monster swing! Last day to register is Thursday, September 20th, but don't wait until the last minute to sign-up as there are limited seats available!! See Diane in the International Office to Sign-up.
