CLUBS DAY: Interested in trying something new? Check out clubs day in the main foyer on Thursday at lunch and see what awesome clubs Stelly's has to offer!

Reminder that today after school  the English 10 Prep C class in Block 5 starts! All registered students must attend.

ATHLETICS:

Interested in joining the Stelly's Sailing Team? Applications are available at the office. Deadline is to submit is Friday.

CAREER CENTRE

WORK EXPERIENCE 12A/12B

Reminder that the Work Experience 12A / 12B registration deadline is September 28th! If you have a job or are volunteering and are wishing to receive Work Experience credits for this year, you must be registered by September 28th to receive credit for your hours!! This time can also count toward your grade 12 Grad Transition requirement.See Mr. Rhodes in the Career Centre to register ASAP!

HAIRSTYLIST APPRENTICESHIP - starting February 2019

Do you LOVE hair? Have you ever considered a career as a Hairstylist??  Are you a social person that likes people, enjoys being a team player that is motivated with a positive attitude? Hairstylist apprenticeships provide you with the training and qualifications you need to work in the aesthetics and beauty industry. Available to grade 10-11-12 students. Interested? See Mr. Rhodes in the Career Centre for an application package.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

 “Pumpkin Express Event” Volunteer opportunity October 19, 20, 21 from 4:30-8:30pm. Interested in helping with the preparation for this event (building scarecrows, decorating the forest areas the train runs through, etc.) Scarecrow building work party Saturday, Sept. 22 10am to 3pm. Volunteering during the event with supervision of craft tables, train track crossings, pumpkin carvings, haunted story walks, scavenger hunt in the graveyard and face painting. Historical Society/VIME grounds on Lochside Drive (turn right onto Island View Rd., then left onto Lochside Dr.) Email the event coordinator Diana Wigen at dianawigen@gmail.com. Canucks Autism Network in Victoria is looking for Volunteers:

* I Can Swim Saturdays 4-5:45 Sept. 29th to Nov. 24th, at Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre

* I Can Play Sports and Be Active Saturdays 1:15-3, Oct. 10 to Nov. 28 at Royal Oak Middle School

* I Can Skate Saturdays 4:30-5:30, Sept. 29 to Dec. 8, at Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre.
