Neighbourhood Etiquette: Just a reminder for those students who are out and about in the neighbourhood to please t lunch time. Please be respectful of the private property of our neighbours and, especially, please don’t leave litter on their lawns and driveways. Thank you for your help in maintaining Stelly's positive relationships in our neighbourhood.

PRO-D DAY – Friday October 19th – School NOT in session
On Tuesday, October 16, Stelly's will be co-hosting an All-Candidates event for our municipality. Parents, students, and staff are invited to join the community in our MPR to meet the candidates for councillors. Doors open at 6:30 and the questions will begin at 7:00. Refreshments will be available for purchase. Please attend to learn more about our hopeful community leaders.
Stelly's Performing Arts presents: The October Coffee Concert! Join us at 6:30PM (doors at 6:00) on Wednesday in the MPR for an evening of outstanding performances. Entrance is by donation. Hope to see you there!

TRAINING & EDUCATION:
Food Safe Level 1 Training is happening this Friday, which is a Pro D day, at the Shoal Centre in Sidney. Also, on Saturday the Shoal Centre is offering a First Aid with CPR "C" & AED Certifcation training. Visit the Career Centre for more registration information for both of these opportunities.
Operation: This IS You! FREE career event for GIRLS - Esquimalt, BC - Saturday, October 20th
Day Sail on a Royal Canadian Navy Warship Activities include tours of ship duty stations, crew quarters and operational equipment; Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) joint search and rescue demonstration, ship firefighting simulation, and demonstration of the warship’s impressive manoeuvring capabilities. Lunch will be provided. Minimum age – 12 years. YOUTH EMPLOYMENT SUPPORT: There are services and supports that are available to youth clients (anyone under 30), at GT Hiring Solutions. Youth Drop-in Afternoons – every Mon, Wed, Fri from 2:30-4:30pm where they can receive on the spot job search support. Monthly Youth Nights – once a week we will host an interactive evening focusing on job search, employer networking, and life skill development – our first date will be Nov 2nd – stay tuned for more details! CAMOSUN INNOVATES DESIGN CHALLENGE - Wednesday, November 7th, 2018 The South Island Partnership and Camosun Innovates are excited to have students (grade 9-12) up to the college this fall for a day of hands-on exploration. You will explore the Camosun Innovates space, do a hands-on design challenge, tour the Interurban campus, learn about dual credit, and become more familiar with the many courses and programs Camosun College has to offer.
