GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Halloween is here! Wear your best costumes and come to the MPR at lunch today for the costume contest. We have candy for all the participants and different categories to enter yourself in...including ; best group, scariest and more! Come down and jin us!

A representative from UVIC will be here Thursday at lunch in Room 116 to answer any and all questions you may have about admissions, programs and any thing else!

Are you a Crafter or baker? Sidney Elementary is holding their 3rd Annual Holiday Fair on Saturday, November 17th. Grab a friend and rent a table and sell your crafts or baked goods? Table rentals are only $20. See the office for more details!

HOMEWORK HELP:  Need any help with your homework? Extra Help is available every morning from 7:15am in the Learning Commons or after school Monday/Tuesday and Thursday until 4pm! Check it out!

CLUBS

Stelly's Outdoors Club meeting this THURSDAY at lunch in Rm.113 (Mr.Heywood's) to plan next month's activities. Please come if you'd like to give any input on what we'll be doing and when in November!

ATHLETICS

SR GIRLS BASKETBALL: All Sr Girls (grade 11 or 12) interested in playing Basketball this year are invited to an Open Gym on Thursday at 5pm.

CAREER CENTRE

Soldier For A Day- Work/Study Program
The BC Army Reserve is hosting a Soldier for a Day program on SATURDAY, November 17th.  This program is an introduction to the role of the BC Army Reserve both here in your home community, across Canada and even around the world. It’s also worth 6 1/2 hours of work experience. Don’t wait too long to sign up, as spaces are filling up fast!

Art Colleges Fair – Nov. 28
Students interested in Art and Design: mark your calendars for the Art Colleges Fair on Wednesday, November 28th at St. Michael's University School, from 6:00-7:30 pm! This art fair is a great opportunity for students to learn about a number of art and design programs in the U.S. and Canada. Visit the Career Centre for a list of the art schools that will be participating.

Have You Considered a Career in AVIATION and DESIGN?  School District #61 is hosting a semester long Aviation and Design Program @ Mt. Doug Secondary February - June 2019.   Partnering With Viking Air, Victoria Flying Club, Pacific Sky, VIH Aviation Group & Camosun College.  To register talk with Mr. Rhodes in the Career Centre.   APPLICATIONS ARE DUE BY NOVEMBER 15, 2018.

GRAD 2019

GRAD POINSETTIA ORDER FORMS are due today... Remember that each Grad is required to sell a minimum of 3 plants.

GRAD PHOTO BOOKINGS:  Grads ... If you haven't booked your spot do so today there are still a few spots open for next week. All Grade 12 students need to have a picture taken so that you are included in the yearbook. Don't delay do it today!
