GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Congratulations to the junior girls volleyball team who placed 3rd in the Camosun Invitational this past weekend.
Also a huge shout out to our Stelly’s Cross country team who had a great race on Thursday in Oak Bay! Congratulations to Jonah Brost for 1st place and Jacob Webster for 6th place in the senior boys category, Adriana Hilton for 2nd place in the junior girls category, and Alec Baldo for 8th place in the junior boys category. Well Done Stingers!
Interested in playing card or board games? Room 172 will be open for drop in games today at lunch. Come learn a new game or bring one of your own to share. Everyone welcome!

The France 2020 trip group will be holding a meeting tonight in room 108 and you are invited! Families not yet registered and still thinking of travelling with us this coming Spring Break are invited to attend at 6:00pm. Families already registered are invited to join us at 6:45. We are nearing the end of our recruiting period so please contact Catherine Wallace if you are still interested in the trip but unable to attend or if you have any questions.

GIRLS BASKETBALL: Any girls 9-12 interested in playing basketball this year, please come to a meeting Tuesday at lunch in the Big Gym. Open gyms start this Wednesday after school

BOOK CLUB: Interested in starting up a book club? There is a meeting in the library on Wednesday at lunch. There will be snacks and tea waiting for you while we decide what the club should look like and gab about our favourite books! See Magen in Bishop or Heywood's class for more info.

UVic School of Health Information Science Open House – Oct 16 The School of Health Information Sciences is hosting its Fall Open House on Wednesday, October 16th, 4:30-6:00pm at UVic’s Cornett Building room A125. Students interested in the life sciences, medicine and/or information technology would be especially interested in these programs. Students are invited to learn more about this exciting field by talking with faculty and students. Join us for pizza while learning about the rapidly expanding field of information technology in health care!

POINSETTIA PLANT FUND RAISER: Grads do you want to decrease your Grad Activity fees this year? Grad Poinsettia fundraiser order forms are now available on the Grad Board in the main foyer! Forms are due back Monday, November 18th, 2019.
GRAD PARENT INFORMATION NIGHT: Grad Parent information Night is happening on Thursday, October 10th, 2019 @ 7:00 pm in Stelly's Learning Commons. All parents/guardians are asked to attend this information session and learn about the many details of grad year ahead.
GRAD PORTRAITS: Grads, it is time to book your grad photos. Lifetouch is bringing their portable photo studio to Stelly's at the end of October for Grad Portraits, October 28--Nov 7th, 2019. To book your appointment, please go to the website: schedule.prestigeportraits.ca Make sure you put "Saanichton" under city. Sitting fee of $25 is due at the time of your appointment (if you know you are not purchasing photos, no sitting fee is required, but we DO need you to have a photo taken for the yearbook). Information posters are posted around the school. Don't put this off until later, or all of the appointments will be booked up and you will run out of time!
