GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Today the CAFETERIA has the choice of a Monte Cristo Sandwich, Chicken Fajita Salad in a taco bowl, Toonie Wrap, Chicken Broccoli & Cheese bake on Rice, Asian Beef on Udon Noodles, Rotini in a Tomato Cream sauce with Garlic Focaccia.   Come on down and check it out!

Cafeteria will be closed on Thursday and Friday ... Pizza sale on Thursday...Only $2.50 a slice!

Numeracy & Literacy Exam results are now posted on the Ministry of Education website. Any questions… See Mr. Braun.

BLOCK ONE WEDNESDAY MORNING we will be handing out Student Quarter 3 timetables. Please make sure you pick it up, because there have may have been some changes in room numbers or teachers since they were printed at the start of the year. If you don’t have a block 1 class, your timetable can be picked up in the main office.   All course change requests should be submitted by Feb 3, it will be very difficult to change courses after beginning classes with a new cohort.  Please visit the Career Center to pick up a course change form.

JUST A REMINDER .... MORNING HOMEWORK HELP is available every morning from 7:15 am in room 156 and AFTER SCHOOL HOMEWORK HELP is every Monday through Thursday in the Learning Commons until 4pm.

CAREER CENTRE

DISTRICT CAREER PROGRAMS & DUAL CREDIT OPPORTUNITIES - Virtual Information Night – THURSDAY January 28 @ 7pm.  Parents are invited to join a virtual meeting to learn more about opportunities available to students in grades 10-12 in the Saanich School District. CAMOSUN COLLEGE - CamWeek Virtual Info night replaces their annual on-campus Info Night this year. Happening on Feb. 23-25, 2021 @ 4-8 pm.  Learn about Admissions, services including Financial Aid and AwardsCentre for Accessible Learning, programs and areas of study from the comfort of your own home. Sessions are expected to last about 45 minutes, giving you time to refill your pop & popcorn for the next event. EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES:

ELK LAKE FARM - is looking for Farm/garden help!  If you are interested in being outside and getting exercise, you may be a good candidate for this local job. Right now, the employer is looking for someone to help gather branches and do other odd jobs in the garden, starting at $15.00 hour.   Eventually, the job could increase to work in the vegetable garden and other areas of the property. Scheduling is flexible, starting at as little as 3 hours per week, working up to more hours and potential summer work.  The farm is located on Old West Saanich Rd. on the other side of Elk Lake. Contact: Cindy (250) 479-7773
