GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Today the CAFETERIA has the choice of a Turkey Clubhouse wrap, Baked Ham Mozza Roasted Pepper & Arugula Panini, Chicken Caesar Salad, Mac & Cheese, Chicken & Spicy Thai Curry sauce on Udon Noodles or Beef Barley Soup with a biscuit.   Come on down and check it out!

Stelly's "Bee Kind" spirit week starts today! Today's theme is Hat Day. Wear your favorite hat to show your school spirit! Tomorrow is "Jersey Day". Wear your favourite sports team Jersey and remember Bee Kind, Bee Calm and Bee Safe! Go Stingers!

Hey Stingers ... Pink Shirt Day is happening on Wednesday, February 24th – this day is celebrated annually around the globe. Pink Shirt Day began in Canada in 2007 when two students who took a stand against bullying after a 10-year-old was harassed and threatened for wearing pink.  We have some Awesome Looking Pink Shirts for sale in the main office ... only $10 each come check them out! 

STELLY'S 2021-2022 COURSE SELECTION FORMS -   Course selection forms for our current Stelly's students were handed out this morning in Block one. Course Selection forms are due back to the Career centre by March 2nd.

OVERDUE BOOKS:  Did you know that there are still over 335 overdue textbooks still out?  Please return your textbooks or see Ms. Kedves or Ms. Pachenko-McKinnon in the Learning Commons as soon! 

STUDENT ABSENCE OR LATE:  If a student will be absent or late for class, we ask that parents/guardians either email  stellys_attendance@saanichschools.ca or phone the Attendance Line 250-544-0300 to let the school know.  

JUST A REMINDER .... MORNING HOMEWORK HELP is available every morning from 7:15 am in room 156 and AFTER SCHOOL HOMEWORK HELP is every Monday through Thursday in the Learning Commons until 4pm.

ALERT FIRST AID with CPR ”C” & AED - Online and in class - Friday, April 23, 2021 - 12:00 am to 4:00 pm in class @ SHOAL Centre in Sidney.  Cost is $50.00 - Cash, cheque or credit card is accepted.  4 hours online and 4.5 hours in-class course trains people how to react and improvise during time priority and life-threatening emergencies.  The online component covers care for adults, children, and babies. The classroom component will focus on developing the participant’s skills. The instructor will know that participants have completed the online component, and won’t spend as much time on the background information that is covered here.  Participants must successfully complete both the online and the classroom components to be certified in Emergency First-Aid with CPR C .  For more details see the Career Centre Info Board or the Saanich Career Education website.  Register now! PARENT DRY GRAD 2021 COMMITTEE BOTTLE DRIVE will happen this Saturday, February 27th from 9am-12pm at Stelly's School.  We need volunteers!  Parents and Grads, please try to show up if at least for an hour - this bottle drive is HUGE and is contributing lots to the yearend event being planned out by all the parents. You can also drop your bottles off anytime throughout the year at one of the three Bottle Depots in Victoria (Glanford, Quadra and Queens) and ask for the funds to be added to the Stelly's Parent Grad Account. Thank You for your continued support!!
