GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

TODAY THE CAFETERIA has the choice of a Beef Dip with Au Jus, Santé Fe Chicken Salad in a Taco Bowl, Hummus & Pita, BBQ Ribs with Roast Potatoes & Coleslaw, Chicken Pot Pie, Beef Ravioli Pesto Baked Pasta or Cheddar Perogies.   Come on down and check it out!

There is a lunchtime meeting in the small gym for ALL Indigenous Leadership students TODAY at 11:40am. See you there!

SCHOOL BUS REGISTRATION FOR 2021-2022 - School bus registration for next school year is now open until June 20th. To register, you will need your Student #.  Registration link is on the Saanich School District website:  https://www.sd63.bc.ca/programs-and-services/transportation

STUDENT PARKING: Reminder to all students who are parking in the student parking lot... you need to be registered. Parking forms are available in the Main Office.

STUDENT ABSENCE OR LATE:  If a student will be absent or late for class, we ask that parents/guardians either email  stellys_attendance@saanichschools.ca or phone the Attendance Line 250-544-0300 to let the school know.  

JUST A REMINDER .... MORNING HOMEWORK HELP is available every morning from 7:15 am in room 156 and AFTER SCHOOL HOMEWORK HELP is every Monday through Thursday in the Learning Commons until 4pm.

CAREER CENTRE

TEAC 105 - EXPLORATIONS IN TECHNOLOGY - Calling All Technology & Engineering Enthusiasts…  TEAC is a Dual Credit course that provides an introduction to careers and basic skills in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Civil Engineering and Computer Science.  This 4-credit course, Friday nights from 3:00- 6:00 at the Camosun Interurban Campus 3 hours per week, for 13 weeks.  For more information see the Saanich Career Education website at https://careered.sd63.bc.ca/    ... under the Training, Workshops and Camps tab. To apply see the Career Centre!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

The Saanich Peninsula CRN is hosting a Food Donation Drive-By on Tuesday, June 15 as part of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.  It will be in the parking lot of Mary Winspear 10am to 2pm. The Saanich Peninsula Food Bank will be there collecting all the donations.   We are looking for 4 volunteer ambassadors to direct traffic.  Two per shift (10am - noon and noon - 2pm).  This involves directing cars in the parking lot where cars can drop off their donations.  To volunteer contact: yep@beaconcs.ca or call 778-426-8767
