GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS


DUAL CREDIT PSYCHOLOGY COURSE: Are you interested in getting transferable college credits next year? If yes Psychology 12 is offered as a dual credit course next year with Psychology 130. If this interests you please come to a brief meeting at lunch on Wednesday, May 16th in the PE classroom (room 082) or see Ms Koenig!


GRAD 2019: Grad exec 2019 has been working to get as many 2019 graduates invited to the facebook page as possible. We are hoping to have the first vote on our 2019 graduating colour up by the end of this week. If someone you know has not yet been invited please contact us with their name and Facebook handle. The sooner we get everyone on the page, the sooner we can begin voting! For more information or any regards to the facebook page please contact Maggi Owen, Avery Nyested or Amy Vincent!


CAREER CENTRE

TEAC 105 COURSE - Explorations in Technology

Registration now open for the Fall TEAC session, the program runs Fridays, 3-6 pm - September through December. This dual-credit course provides current high school students with an introduction to careers in Computer Science, Electronic and Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. See the Counselling Office for more info


CAMOSUN COLLEGE & SAANICH SCHOOL DISTRICT PARTNERSHIP TRAINING OPPORTUNITY: Interested in getting a diploma at Camosun for a Legal Office Assistant , Medical Office Assistant or Office Administration in September and want to have the school district pay for it? See Mr. Rhodes in the career centre ASAP. Applications are due on Monday for this awesome opportunity!


GRADS

Grads! Check the grad list posted in the counselling area.  If you are NOT on the list, see Ms. Batham in the main office to find out why. If you can’t resolve the issues by May 15th, you MUST complete and submit a Grad Appeal Form and book an appointment with Ms. Hansen by May 15th. Grad Appeal Forms are available from the main office. See Ms. Batham to book your appointment.


BURGER NIGHT TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE: Tickets still available for BURGER NIGHT at Boondocks Pub on Monday, May 14th. Tickets are $25 each. Come out and enjoy an evening of food and fun with family and friends while supporting Grad 2018. Contact Alison Cairns at jatro@telus.net for tickets.


UVIC REGISTRATION 101 – Monday , May 14 - Students already registered or thinking about registering with UVic are invited to attend a Registration 101 presentation next Monday May 14 from 3:10 – 4pm in the Career Centre.


District Scholarship Applications
Reminder that the deadline to hand in applications for District Scholarships is Tuesday, May 15th, 2018
