A big thank you to everyone for participating and showing your support for “Lights Out at Lunch for Earth Day” from Stelly’s Social Leadership Class. Conserving light is one of the many ‘green’ actions we can take part in together to save energy. Way to go Stelly’s!

Congratulations to the Stelly's Tennis Team who won their tennis match against Reynolds yesterday 6 sets to 5! Well Done Stingers!

Report cards will be distributed in TA on Friday, April 26 at the end of block 1.



SD61 and Pacific Design Academy have partnered together to offer and amazing 8-week summer program for students interested in Interior Design - Graphic Design - Fashion Design. These courses are structured as follows: Monday-Friday 9:00 am–3:00 pm. July 2nd-30th, classroom-based instruction; July 31st-August 30th unpaid work experience placement. If you are interested in applying for the Pacific Design Academy program or finding out more about the program visit your Career Centre. Applications are due April 26th.

TALE - Tourism and Leadership Exploration
D61 and West Coast Adventure College have partnered together to offer an amazing 8-week summer program for students interested in exploring the Adventure Tourism Industry. Apply with your Career Counsellor - Applications are due April 26th  For more information see the poster on the Career Centre Info Board. The program runs from in July 2nd – August 30th, 2019.  Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm with the following schedule: July: Local Victoria Parks & Trails, Uplands Campus ; August: Unpaid Work Experience placements with Local Companies.  If you are interested in applying for the TALE program or finding out more about the program come to the Career Centre

Camp Ignite – Summer 2019
Camp Ignite is a Youth Fire Fighter Mentorship Program for grade 11 & 12 girls, ages 16-18.  It is a   4-day camp that educates and inspires young women about careers in firefighting. This camp offers girls an introduction to the world of firefighting as well as learning about fitness, nutrition, health and teamwork. This year's camp will run from August 8-11, 2019.  Saanich Fire is looking to sponsor one grade 11 or 12 girl to attend. Application deadline is June 1. Please visit the Career Centre for application packages.

Saanich Summer Internship Program - Saanich Parks & Recreation: Summer Internship Program is designed to support youth ages 16-18 years to gain valuable work experience. Mentored part-time and full-time placements are available in summer camps and community settings throughout Saanich. Interns receive up to $500 for completing the program!  Application deadline is May 15.  Apply by sending an e-mail to  explaining why you want to be a summer intern or phone 250-475-7624 for more information.


Legion Manor Victoria is a supportive and assisted living community for seniors. They are looking to hire full-time, part-time, casual and permanent Dining Room Servers $15 to $16.50 hour. GRAD 2019

Grad Packages and Raffle Tickets are now past due......Please drop off to Ms. Batham, in the Main office if you haven’t done so yet!

Grad Bottle drive is happening on Saturday at Stelly's from 9 -12pm. Bring in your recylable containers and support Stellty's Grad 2019.

SCRAP METAL DRIVE FUNDRAISER- is also happening this weekend starting on Friday at 4pm through to Sunday at 2pm. Please drop off your unwanted scrap metal and help support the Dry grad of 2019.


The Peninsula Youth Clinic in  Sidney is open today and every THURSDAY from 5:30 - 7:30pm with both a doctor and mental health clinician on hand.
