To be awarded to a graduating student that plans to attend an accredited Canadian university, college or technical school. Acknowledges a student who has faced significant hardships and has demonstrated a commitment to continue their education. Significant hardships include: poverty, health, family issues, personal loss and lack of supports i.e. youth who are or who have been in government care.

Value:      $2500 to two SD#63 students

Criteria:    To support outstanding graduating students who have demonstrated:

                  Academic success

                  BC Resident

Deadline:   Please refer to Scholarship Google Classroom or Mrs Laws for due date.

Procedure: Students should submit the following documents to Mrs Laws:

                   1. A District Scholarship form

                   2. A transcript of Grade 11 and Grade 12 marks, including predictions for the last              

                       courses of Grade 12

                   3. A statement of future plans and goals

                   4. A CV

Selection:   Selection will be made by the School District 63 Scholarship Committee
