Carol Ann Burns Memorial Scholarship

Brentwood Elementary Parent Advisory Committee
VALUE: $400 to be awarded for use towards tuition, lesson fees, instrument purchase or rental, or valid expenses upon approval by scholarship board. The scholarship is redeemable up to two years after being awarded.
CRITERIA: This scholarship is to further enhance the study in Performing Arts in any or all of the following: music, dance, or voice. The scholarship is non-academic and will be awarded on need and merit, more than academic achievement.
  1. Must have attended at least one year at Brentwood Elementary School.
  2. Must be graduating from one of the following School District #63 schools: Claremont, Stelly's, Parklands, or S.I.D.E.S.
  3. A transcript of marks from Grades 11 and 12, and a resume indicating past accomplishments and outlining future plans must be submitted by the student along with this application form.
  4. Student's application must be signed by a school counsellor.
  5. A letter of recommendation from a previous or current instructor (within the school or outside of school) stating the area of interest and level of ability.
DEADLINE: Alternating years - next availability is May 15, 2022
PROCEDURE: Students must complete a Stelly's Application Form and submit application to ATTENTION: Brentwood PAC
SELECTION:

Final choice of the candidate will be determined by the Scholarship Committee from Brentwood Elementary School. Interviews in person for final selection may be necessary.
