VALUE: 2 @ $2,000 each will be awarded annually, provided an applicant meets the following criteria
TENURE:

The Bursary to be awarded to a person entering

a) Any University or Regional College or recognized School of Nursing in the Province of BC

b) In a medical program such as

Nursing     Medicine     Medical Imaging     Dentistry     Physiotherapy     Pharmacy

Occupational Therapy     Dietetics     Speech Therapy    Medical Social Worker

Music Therapy     Respiratory Therapy

Other disciplines may be considered.

Selection of the applicants to be made on the basis of Academic performance, Community involvement, and accompanying letter.
CRITERIA:

Criteria: Any person who

  • is a current employee of the Vancouver Health Authority at Saaanich Peninsula Hospital

  • OR an immediate family member of an employee
  • OR an Auxilary member
  • OR son or daughter of an Auxiliary member (or grandchild)
  • OR having completed 100 hours of volunteer service within a VIHA Hospital
  • OR is a graduate of School District 63
  • OR a member of the BC Ambulance Service based at the Saanich Peninsula Hospital
DEADLINE: Completed application forms and references must be submitted by September 15th of each year
PROCEDURE: Applications must include:
  •  an application form from Mrs Laws
  • short hand written letter
  • high school or post-secondary extension transcript
  • reference from high school principal (if applicable), or registrar of post secondary institution
  • Two other references
  • Mail directly to: Auxiliary to the Saanich Hospital (2166 Mount Newton X Road Saanichton, BC V8M 2B2)
  • Clearly marked: "Attention: Bursary Chairperson" and "Confidential"
  • Please take care when assembling your application as incomplete packages will not be considered
SELECTION: Selection will be made by Saanich Peninsula Hospital Auxiliary.
